9th UDMA DAY 2026 to be Held on October 10–11 at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi
Two-Day National Event to Highlight Unani Heritage, Scientific Research, Quality Manufacturing, AYUSH Health Mela and the Future of Unani Medicine
New Delhi, October 8, 2026: The Unani Drugs Manufacturers Association (UDMA) is organising the 9th UDMA DAY 2026 on October 10 and 11, 2026, at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. The two-day national programme will bring together leading experts, physicians, researchers, academicians, students and representatives of the Unani pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, research and education sectors on a common platform.
The theme of this year’s UDMA DAY is “Promoting Unani Heritage for a Healthier Tomorrow.” The programme aims to strengthen the Unani system of medicine and the Unani pharmaceutical industry, promote quality manufacturing, scientific research and development, innovation, and closer collaboration between the pharmaceutical industry, research institutions and academic organisations.
Special Media Interaction and Press Meet
As part of the preparations for the 9th UDMA DAY, a special media interaction and press meet was organised at Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat, Okhla, New Delhi. Important issues concerning Unani medicine and the Unani pharmaceutical industry were discussed, and media representatives were briefed about the forthcoming 9th UDMA DAY, its objectives and major activities.

The press meet was attended by Mohsin Dehlvi, Muneer Azmat, Mohammed Jalees, Khabib Baqai and Uzair Baqai.
Deliberations on the Future of Unani Medicine
During the two-day programme, detailed discussions will be held on the challenges faced by the Unani pharmaceutical industry, regulatory matters, quality manufacturing, research and development, innovation and the future prospects of Unani medicine.
The programme will include scientific sessions, Continuing Unani Medical Education (CUME), research paper and poster presentations, the AYUSH Health Mela, exhibition and display stalls featuring Unani, Ayurvedic and herbal products, and public health awareness activities.
Special Attraction: AYUSH Health Mela
A major attraction of the 9th UDMA DAY will be the AYUSH Health Mela, in which more than 50 UDMA-member manufacturing companies will participate and put up stalls to showcase their Unani, Ayurvedic and herbal products.
The Health Mela will provide a unique opportunity for the general public to directly explore a wide range of products and avail themselves of special discounts offered by participating companies.
The Mela will also be particularly beneficial for agencies and distributors, who will have an opportunity to interact directly with the owners and senior representatives of participating manufacturing companies, explore business opportunities and benefit from special trade and distribution schemes offered by individual companies.
Doctors and healthcare professionals will also benefit from the Mela through interaction with participating companies and access to product samples for professional understanding and evaluation.
The AYUSH Health Mela is therefore expected to serve as an important bridge between manufacturers, doctors, distributors, healthcare professionals and the general public, while providing a platform for the wider promotion and awareness of AYUSH products and the Unani pharmaceutical industry.

Inaugural Ceremony
The inaugural ceremony of the 9th UDMA DAY will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia.
The inaugural programme will include Awards for BUMS Toppers, Book Launch, Souvenir Release, special addresses and felicitation of distinguished guests.
Scientific and Technical Sessions
Following the inaugural ceremony, Technical Session-I – Continuing Unani Medical Education (CUME) will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the FTK-CIT Hall, Jamia Millia Islamia.
The scientific session will feature expert lectures and discussions on important subjects including Hijama Therapy, Neurology and Unani Medicine, preservation and promotion of Unani medicine, and clinical experiences in Unani medicine.
On Sunday, October 11, 2026, Technical Session-II – Paper & Poster Presentations will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the FTK-CIT Hall. Researchers, academicians and medical professionals will present their research papers and posters. Each presentation will have 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
The programme will conclude with Valedictory Remarks and distribution of Certificates.
