Dr. Munish Raizada Criticizes AAP Government for Economic Failures and Rising Corruption

He raised concerns about the recent decision to increase the MLA Development Fund from ₹10 crore to ₹15 crore, calling it a poorly conceived move that lacks transparency and accountability.
Dr. Raizada accused the Delhi Chief Minister of being a mere rubber stamp for this decision, stating, “The Chief Minister is acting like a rubber stamp for the Delhi government, and this fund increase is a prime example of that.” He questioned the effectiveness of MLAs in implementing ground-level projects, expressing doubts over the utilization of these increased funds.
Where Are the Funds Going? Dr. Raizada Questions AAP’s Priorities
Highlighting the lack of visible development in Delhi, Dr. Raizada said, “MLAs have been exploiting citizens for years, and now they’re receiving more funds to indulge in even greater corruption. I fail to see where these funds are being utilized. Roads are in disrepair, and drainage systems in several areas are dysfunctional.”

He pointed out the deteriorating economic condition of Delhi under the AAP government, emphasizing, “For the first time in 31 years, Delhi is facing a revenue deficit. According to the Finance Ministry, the government requires an additional ₹7,000 crore to complete several capital projects that were not accounted for in the budget. This situation has arisen due to the incompetence, lack of accountability, and corrupt mindset of Chief Minister Kejriwal,” Dr. Raizada remarked.
Allegations of Mismanagement and Corruption
Dr. Raizada further criticized the Delhi government’s financial handling, particularly targeting the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). He claimed, “The DJB’s budget has not been audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) for the past three years, while the MCD has become a hub of corruption with no signs of real development.”
